GABE GOFFIN

Project Engineer Intern - Webcor Carpentry

GABE GOFFIN
It’s pretty incredible to work on something with such a tangible impact. This project is massive, it will serve a great number of people, and to be able to say I helped make it happen is sweet. Additionally, the local community affect this project has currently and will have once completed is definitely something to be proud of. oI feel like I’m just learning an incredible amount. I’m learning new skills every day, but also learning what a good team consists of, how to properly take care of myself, and more. This is my first internship and apparently I am the youngest Webcor intern; I think the bar has been set pretty high.

REBECA CISNEROS

Office Engineer - San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC)

REBECA CISNEROS
I’m proud to work at BDFP because it’s utilizing innovative technology to make necessary improvements to San Francisco’s wastewater infrastructure and making a positive impact on both the environment and the local community. This is the first project that I’ve been a part of where I have gotten to see construction truly from the ground-up and on such a large scale. It’s been amazing to witness and be a part of this project.

DANIELA GONZALEZ

Project Engineer Intern - Webcor Builders

DANIELA GONZALEZ
I truly appreciate the team's willingness to invest time in my career growth. Whether it's walking me through RFIs, submittals, or the commissioning process, everyone ensures I have the tools and knowledge to succeed. Their support has helped me feel confident in my tasks and empowered me to contribute meaningfully in meetings. The biggest impact I've had on this project is the mentorship and inspiration received from the incredible women, mothers, and people of color on this project. Their leadership and support have made me feel empowered in a male-dominated field and motivate me to one day be a mentor for others.

AREN HANSEN

Engineering Services During Construction Lead - Brown and Caldwell

AREN HANSEN
I got involved in BDFP in 2020 to help lead the engineering/design team supporting construction and to help foster collaborative relationships with the CM/GC as the project was entering its main construction phase. Through this project I have learned to truly appreciate the amount of skilled labor that is needed to build a project of this size and complexity. As an engineer, I spend a lot of time behind a desk or walking around the job site, but not actually lifting and installing pipes, conduit, pouring concrete, etc. The talent and work of all the tradespeople, and also the emphasis on Women in Construction through BuildHERS on this project, has been something that I’ve really appreciated.

AASHRAYA ADHIKARI

Construction Intern - MWH Constructors

AASHRAYA ADHIKARI
I am proud to work at BDFP project because of the impact it will have on the San Francisco community treating 80% of San Franciscos waste. Being involved in something this meaningful project, even as an Intern, gives me the rewarding feeling that I have played a part in something important, no matter how small my contribution may be. As an international student from Nepal, being 8,000 miles away from home, I really appreciate how welcoming and supportive the BDFP team has been. -Being part of such a massive and complex project excites me the most. I love how every day is a new learning opportunity. There is always something happening on site and I enjoy seeing how all the moving parts come together to build something so impactful.

CHRISTOPHER VASQUEZ

Construction Outreach Liaison - San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC)

CHRISTOPHER VASQUEZ
It’s thrilling to see not only how cutting edge the project is in terms of modernizing a facility that was long past its useful life, but also the complexity of the work that is being done, including the way the BDFP is able to manage sometimes more than 400 workers on site on any given day. It’s a well-oiled machine that just keeps going safely day-in and day-out. Every time I am on site I am excited to see how much progress can be made in such short amounts of time.

RENE NAVARRO

Sr. Project Coordinator - MWH/Webcor, JV

RENE NAVARRO
I truly appreciate coming to work and collaborating with my Risk and Governance Team, we may sit in the background, but we contribute significantly to the project. As a San Francisco native, I'm excited that this project will improve the water plant and make the water cleaner than ever before it is pumped into the bay.

DELTREA CRAYTON

Laborer Forewoman - MWH, Webcor, JV

DELTREA CRAYTON
I started on the BDFP through SFPUC Job Placement and through referral. I was assigned to be a part of the Malcolm Drilling team during the foundation phase of the project. On March 14, 2022 after the completion of the foundation phases, I had the opportunity to join MWH-Webcor CMGC Laborer force team. This project is filled with a multitude of culture, and everyone gets along with one another. Given me opportunities Id never thought ill have a chance to grow and prove myself and to flourish into someone more positive.
