JESSICA BRECKWOLDT
Electrician Apprentice - Cupertino Electric Inc.

I feel proud to work at the BDFP because it's the biggest industrial job I have been at and it feels really cool to help build what the engineers have designed. The biggest impact this job has had for me has been all of the things I have learned and all of the material I get to work with. I'm most excited about working on stuff I have never had experience with before like industrial light switches and stainless steel hardware.
GABE GOFFIN
Project Engineer Intern - Webcor Carpentry

It’s pretty incredible to work on something with such a tangible impact. This project is massive, it will serve a great number of people, and to be able to say I helped make it happen is sweet. Additionally, the local community affect this project has currently and will have once completed is definitely something to be proud of. oI feel like I’m just learning an incredible amount. I’m learning new skills every day, but also learning what a good team consists of, how to properly take care of myself, and more. This is my first internship and apparently I am the youngest Webcor intern; I think the bar has been set pretty high.
JOURNEY GREEN
Intern - Webcor Builders

I am now going on my third year being a Webcor Intern. My second year I worked in Webcor’s corporate office, and now this year I was placed on a Jobsite! The biggest thing that stood out to me about BDFP is that this worksite is in the community I grew up in. Seeing something being built in my community and being able to see “behind the scenes” is very touching. I am looking forward to work on this project and grow my public speaking skills.
DANIELA GONZALEZ
Project Engineer Intern - Webcor Builders

I truly appreciate the team's willingness to invest time in my career growth. Whether it's walking me through RFIs, submittals, or the commissioning process, everyone ensures I have the tools and knowledge to succeed. Their support has helped me feel confident in my tasks and empowered me to contribute meaningfully in meetings. The biggest impact I've had on this project is the mentorship and inspiration received from the incredible women, mothers, and people of color on this project. Their leadership and support have made me feel empowered in a male-dominated field and motivate me to one day be a mentor for others.
OLGA ROMERO
Apprentice Painter - Picture Painting & Decorating

I got started on the BDFP through the Sistas with Tools pre-apprenticeship program which changed my life. Everyone I've worked with on the project has had a huge impact on my life from Mr. Tyrone Evans, Deltrea Crayton, Nicole Rangel, and so many others who supported me on my journey into the trades. My teachers were also amazing and a big shout out to my sister Rashaida Nirobe who always encouraged me.
AASHRAYA ADHIKARI
Construction Intern - MWH Constructors

I am proud to work at BDFP project because of the impact it will have on the San Francisco community treating 80% of San Franciscos waste. Being involved in something this meaningful project, even as an Intern, gives me the rewarding feeling that I have played a part in something important, no matter how small my contribution may be. As an international student from Nepal, being 8,000 miles away from home, I really appreciate how welcoming and supportive the BDFP team has been. -Being part of such a massive and complex project excites me the most. I love how every day is a new learning opportunity. There is always something happening on site and I enjoy seeing how all the moving parts come together to build something so impactful.
CASEY JENSEN
Commissioning & Startup Intern - MWH Constructors

I appreciated the team’s willingness to share their experience and help with anything I needed. I also saw how important teamwork and communication is for such a large project. The biggest impact of the SFPUC project for me has been exposure to a new industry. I didn’t want to feel limited or stuck in a typical Computer Science path and wanted to challenge where my degree could take me. My main career goal is doing work that allows me to do creative problem solving. So, I really enjoy that the work I do is both technical and creative!
RENE NAVARRO
Sr. Project Coordinator - MWH/Webcor, JV

I truly appreciate coming to work and collaborating with my Risk and Governance Team, we may sit in the background, but we contribute significantly to the project. As a San Francisco native, I'm excited that this project will improve the water plant and make the water cleaner than ever before it is pumped into the bay.
